What we collect
When you submit a service request, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, organization, email address, telephone number and project details.
Why we collect it
We use this information to review your request, contact you, prepare a quote and provide the service you ask for. We do not sell service-request information.
How it is kept
Requests are stored in a restricted area of the website. Access is limited to people working on ShiftHeads Media enquiries. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the request, business records and applicable legal obligations.
Creative Lab and Event Incubator
Incubator expressions of interest and applications are reviewed in a private administration area. We may record a pipeline stage, interview time, reference status, selection score and private review notes to assess the founding cohort consistently. These details are not published. Applicant records can be assigned a retention date and permanently deleted from the administration area when they are no longer needed.
Signal Grid prototype
The private Signal Grid prototype uses a random, pseudonymous Signal Pass cookie to remember missions, Signal Energy, generated unlocks and Action Forge commitments on the same device. A person may optionally create a portable Signal Key account without providing an email address, phone number, birthday, legal name or home address. The readable recovery key is shown once; only a one-way hash is stored. Account session tokens are random, stored as one-way hashes, sent in HttpOnly cookies and expire. An optional nickname can be removed at any time. Facebook sign-in is not currently active and no Facebook information is collected.
If you choose to return a mission story, the story, optional first name or callsign, consent choices, optional directory connection and moderation status are stored in a restricted database. Stories are not published automatically. An edited celebration card can be shared only after moderator review and your optional feature consent; consent can be declined without affecting mission credit. You may remove a mission story from the same device or a connected Signal Key.
The Living Signal Map stores the clearly public map point you deliberately select, the pin category, useful story, optional local history, accessibility notes, next step, photo caption, optional mission connection and moderation status. It never follows your device or requests continuous location access. Home and private-address pins are prohibited, and no pin or uploaded photo becomes community-visible until human review. Optional JPG, PNG and WebP photos are decoded, resized and rewritten as new WebP files to remove embedded camera and location metadata before storage. An owner may permanently delete only the photo while leaving the useful story, remove a pending pin, or delete the complete Signal Key and its associated private activity. The prototype map displays OpenStreetMap tiles, so a visitor's browser makes tile requests to OpenStreetMap infrastructure under its own privacy and usage terms.
Your choices
You may ask to review or correct the contact information connected with your request, or ask that it be deleted when there is no legal or business requirement to retain it.
Third-party services
If a project requires an outside printer, supplier, shipping carrier or technology platform, we will explain that before sharing information needed to complete the work.
